 Post subject: Building another 350

This will be a nice simple street combo. 350 gas block bored .030 over, crank turned .010-.010, stock rods with ground and polished beams, ARP bolts. TRW flat tops, about 9.5 to 1 compression, stock oiling system with a Melling pump. Ported number 6 iron heads with 2.00-1.625 valves, zinc filled crossovers, brazed center dividers. Valves ,heads , pistons are heat barrier coated. Port matched Edelbrock performer intake, 600 Carter carb. Comp cam XE262 flat tappet. 218-224 at .050, .475-.480 lift, 110 lobe separation. Comp cams roller tip rockers ,and double roller chain. Home made headers and exhaust.

Sounds like a nice stout street engine!

Always wanted to put together a SBO...and put it in a chevy 8-) :lol: :lol:

Well, this is going in a 37 Ford truck so it should stir up some conversations at the car shows. I am expecting the why didn`t you put in a 302 Ford, 350 Chevy ,or LS questions wherever it goes.

I have been wanting a HEMI headed Oldsmobile for years, maybe I should put a generation 3 Hemi in my Omega and watch everyone's expression on their faces. :)

Still doing a little body work and next is wiring with a painless kit. Engine is on the stand for now.
